Thomas Christ (born February 11, before 1980 in Landsberg am Lech ) is a German musical performer and voice trainer .

Life

Thomas Christ received his training as a musical performer at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich and was already on stage in The Black Rider at the Metropoltheater there during his studies .

Subsequent engagements led him to major productions such as Tanz der Vampire in Stuttgart directed by Roman Polański , Elisabeth in Essen and Jekyll & Hyde in Cologne, where he also played the title role. He also appeared at the Landestheater in Eisenach in roles such as Freddy ( My Fair Lady ), Leopold ( Im Weissen Rössl ) and Monostatos ( The Magic Flute ), and at the Lübeck Theater a . a. as Jean Valjean ( Les Misérables ) and in the title role of Jekyll & Hyde .

In the 2009 season, Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay engaged him at the Musical Theater in Bremen, where he played the role of Duke of Orléans in the European premiere of Marie Antoinette - The Musical . As a result he embodied a. a. at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen the Mark Cohen ( Rent ), in Plauen / Zwickau Vittorio and Oscar ( Sweet Charity ), at the Staatstheater Hannover Harry, das Ross ( Guys and Dolls ) as well as in the world premiere of The Visit of the Old Lady at the Thunerseespiele Toby and the teacher. At the Pforzheim Theater he was seen in the title role in Sweeney Todd and part of the cast in the world premiere of Der Medicus at the Fulda Musical Summer. He was repeatedly seen as Che in Evita , u. a. in Lübeck and at the Wiesbaden State Theater. He interpreted Valentin in The Kiss of the Spider Woman in Lübeck, Flensburg and Eisenach and could be seen in this role over two seasons at the Stadttheater Gießen. In 2016/17 he returns to the Lahn as Cinderella's Prince in Ab in den Wald .

Teaching activities

In addition to his stage work, Thomas Christ is a lecturer for acting and singing as well as at various workshops and trained as an “Authorized CVT Teacher” at the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen (2014–17). Since November 2016 he has been teaching singing at the IfM of the University of Osnabrück.
