Thomas Eriksson (athlete)

Thomas Eriksson ( Per Thomas Eriksson; born May 1, 1963 in Arbrå ) is a former Swedish high , three and long jumper .

At the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1982 he was ninth in the high jump.

In 1984 he was ninth in the high jump at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gothenburg . at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles he was eliminated in the high jump and triple jump in qualification.

At the EM 1986 in Stuttgart he failed in the first round in the triple jump. At the European Championships in 1990 in Split, he did not get beyond qualification in the high jump.

He was Swedish champion three times (1985, 1989, 1990) in long jump, twice in high jump (1990, 1991) and once in triple jump (1984). In 1989 he won the national title in the high and triple jump in the hall. As a student at Lamar University , he became an NCAA high jump champion in 1985 .

His father Per Axel Eriksson was a successful decathlete.
