Thomas Fischer (ice hockey player)

Thomas Fischer (born January 8, 1984 in Erding ) is a German ice hockey player who currently plays for the Mannheim ERC in the Baden-Württemberg regional league .

Player career

The 1.77 m tall defender began his career in the MERC junior division and played for the first time in 2000 for Jungadler Mannheim in the DNL , with which he won the German Junior Championship in 2002 and 2003. In the 2002/03 season , Fischer completed his first DEL appearances for Adler Mannheim , but switched to the 2nd Bundesliga during the season at EV Duisburg . In 2003/04 Fischer rose to the second division from the ice hockey league with the mosquitos Essen , but after two years with the mosquitoes he moved back to the league at SC Riessersee in 2004 . Since 2005 the defensive man has been playing again at his home club, the Mannheim ERC in the Regionalliga.

International

For the German junior national teams , Thomas Fischer played the U18 World Cup in 2002 and the U20 World Cup in 2004 , scoring one goal and two assists in 13 Junior World Cup games .
