Thomas Fogdö (born March 14, 1970 in Gällivare ) is a former Swedish ski racer .

biography

He won a total of five World Cup slalom races . In the 1992/93 season he was able to win the Slalom World Cup. He is the only Swede besides Ingemar Stenmark and André Myhrer who managed this feat. At world championships and the Olympic Games, he reached three times fifth and once sixth place, always in his specialty slalom.

On February 7, 1995, he fell so badly during a training run in Åre that he broke his spine and has been paraplegic ever since . Today he works for various sponsorship projects as well as for the Swedish Ski Association.
