Thomas Frankenfeld
Thomas Frankenfeld (born August 24, 1951 in Cologne ) is a German journalist and television presenter . The graduate political scientist managed the foreign policy resort of the Hamburger Abendblatt .
Life
His biological father was the radio presenter and Olympic reporter Werner Labriga , his mother the singer and actress Lonny Kellner-Frankenfeld . At the age of five he was adopted by the entertainer Peter Frankenfeld , who married Lonny Kellner-Frankenfeld in 1956.
Thomas Frankenfeld grew up on his parents' property in Wedel / Holstein and went to school in Wedel, Uetersen and St. Peter-Ording . He was trained as an officer with the Bundeswehr and studied political science, public law and modern history at the Bundeswehr University in Hamburg .
Journalistic activity
From 1982 to the beginning of the 2010s, Thomas Frankenfeld worked for the Hamburger Abendblatt , where he was head of foreign policy and chief correspondent. In northern Germany, Frankenfeld has also made a name for himself as a moderator of political discussions. Among his guests were the former Defense Minister Peter Struck and the former US Ambassador to Germany, John Kornblum . He has also appeared in all three documentaries about his father Peter Frankenfeld.

Frankenfeld's first novel is about a " chimera ", a virus from the Thirty Years' War. Terrorists use it to blackmail the state. An archaeologist and a commissioner are trying to resolve the case as more and more people are affected by the pandemic.

- Frankenfeld is a reserve officer of the hunter troop and is now Colonel d. R. Visiting professor at military academies .
- He is the wearer of the black belt in Shōtōkan and contact karate.
Private
Since 2001 Frankenfeld has been married to the journalist Bettina Mittelacher , great-great-granddaughter of the poet Theodor Storm . The couple has a son.
Frankenfeld lives on his parents' property in Wedel / Holstein and in Dale, a settlement near Munkedal in southern Sweden on the Färlefjord.
