Thomas William Fraser-Holmes (born October 9, 1991 in Newcastle , New South Wales) is an Australian swimmer .
Career
He made his international debut at the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Irvine (California) . There he took bronze as a starting swimmer with the 4 × 200-meter freestyle relay and was fourth in his individual start in the 200-meter freestyle. In the same year he started at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi , India , where he, again employed as a starting swimmer, won gold in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay. In the individual start over the same distance, he won the bronze medal.
At the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai , Thomas Fraser-Holmes competed in the 200 and 400 meter freestyle, the 400 meter medley and in the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay. While he reached placements beyond tenth place in the individual starts, the season was fifth.
At his first Olympic Games in London in 2012 , he reached the finals in over 200 meters freestyle and 400 meter medley as well as in the Australian 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay. In the individual disciplines Fraser-Holmes was seventh, the relay reached fifth.
At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , he won gold in the 200-meter freestyle and with the 4 × 200-meter freestyle relay as well as the silver medal in the 400-meter swimming medley. At the 2015 World Championships in Kazan , he won the bronze medal in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay.
Thomas Fraser-Holmes is multiple Australian champion. He currently swims for the Miami Swim Club and trains with Denis Cotterell.
