Thomas Gamiette (born June 21, 1986 in Épinay-sur-Seine ) is a French football player .

Club career

Gamiette was born near Paris and was accepted into the youth team of Paris Saint-Germain from the French capital in 1995. At the age of 17 he moved up to the reserve team for the 2003/04 season and became a regular player in his third year after initially sporadic appearances. Nevertheless, he left Paris in 2006 without ever having played a competitive game for the professional team. He signed in the third division with the Entente SSG from the Paris area, where he immediately belonged to the first team. In 2008 he made the leap into professional football when he moved to the traditional club Stade Reims in the second division. On August 1, 2008, the first day of the new season, he made his debut in the 1: 3 against SCO Angers in the professional league, where he was used over the full length of the game. From then on he was also a member of the team in Reims. In the summer of 2011 he went to FC Tours , where he also got a regular seat. Despite his membership in the first team, his contract was not extended in 2013, after which he initially remained without a club.

At the beginning of 2014 he was signed by the Thai first division club BEC-Tero Sasana . His stay abroad was short-lived, however, as he returned to France the following summer and signed with third division Paris FC . With the capital city club he was promoted to the second highest division at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Selection team

One year after moving to Reims, Gamiette, who thanks to his origins from the French overseas territory of Guadeloupe is eligible to play for the national team, was considered for the first time in the summer of 2009. He was in the squad for the Gold Cup , which is the most important tournament of the regional association CONCACAF . In the course of this he played all four games for his team that reached the quarterfinals. Without having played for the team again in the meantime, he was nominated for the 2011 Gold Cup two years later . Here, too, he was used in all games, but was eliminated with Guadeloupe in the preliminary round.
