Thomas Heinemann (* 1958 in Herrsching am Ammersee ) is a German director and author .
Life
Thomas Heinemann wrote his first plays and skits at the age of twelve for the Basel Children's Theater. In 1985 Heinemann opened in Würzburg the only children's theater in the Federal Republic of Germany in the Kästner sense, children play for children . In 1988 the area of youth theater was added with the play “Pimpf - Comrades don't ask for long”, which was adapted as a radio play by the WDR . In 1991, in close cooperation with the composer Wolfgang Salomon, the first music theater piece "Luna - Small Step for Mankind" was created, and the "Theater am Neunerplatz" became a private three-branch house with music, dance and theater. The pieces “Mopaya” and “Heart of Darkness” with asylum seekers from the former Zaire, “Traube, please come!”, A theatrical thriller in four episodes, disguised as a television evening with news, spoken by cabaret artist Frank-Markus Barwasser , and three were created Advertising blocks. The advertisers co-financed the production, but had no say in the design of the advertising clips played by the ensemble (feature “Tagesthemen” 1994 with Sabine Christiansen ). In 1997, Heinemann received the City of Würzburg's Culture Promotion Prize. In 2000 Thomas Heinemann left the theater and worked for a film production company with Werner Herzog, Simon Verhoeven and Dito Tsintsadze, among others.
The film “Schussangst” by Dito Tsintsadze , in which Heinemann co-wrote and directed dialogue, was the first German film to be awarded the “Concha d'Oro” for best film at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia-San Sebastián in 2003. In 2005, Heinemann founded "cinenic Filmproduktion" with Frank-Markus Barwasser. The movie “ Front is damned far away ” with Frank-Markus Barwasser, Christiane Paul , Peter Lohmeyer and Philipp Sonntag was the first “cinenic” production and was awarded the title “particularly valuable” by the Wiesbaden film evaluation office . The commissioned production for 3sat "on the way to somewhere else", directed by Heinemann, was nominated in 2009 for the Adolf Grimme Prize . In 2013 "cinenic Filmproduktions GmbH & Co.KG" was renamed "superNeun Filmproduktion GmbH". Heinemann achieved international success with the family film "Lola on the Pea".
