Thomas Kloss (cameraman)

Thomas Kloss (born December 29, 1956 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cameraman .

Life

Thomas Kloss was born in Vienna as the son of a newspaper photographer. He has two older brothers and a younger sister. He assisted his father at an early age and later helped a friend out as a cameraman. As a result, he got the chance to work as a cameraman for German television as well as for commercials without any film studies training. After moving to Los Angeles in 1989 , he mainly worked as a cameraman for commercials and music videos. Occasionally he also directed. He worked for musicians such as Justin Timberlake , Marilyn Manson , Lenny Kravitz and Lady Gaga and shot commercials for companies such as JC Penney , BMW and 7-Eleven .

At the same time he occasionally worked as a cameraman for feature films. He made films like Fear , Showtime and most recently the action film Conan and the romantic comedy Don Jon .
