Thomas Klotz (born February 27, 1980 in Siegen ) is a German musical performer and television presenter .

Career

Thomas Klotz completed his training in classical ballet , modern dance and jazz dance from 1995 to 1998 at the Carrasz Ballet School in Siegen. From 1996 to 1998 he also took singing lessons. In 1997 he took 1st place at the Jugend musiziert singing competition in Arnsberg . At the beginning of 1998 he began his studies in acting , singing and dance at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen and graduated in February 2002 with a diploma .

His career began at the Summer Festival in Bad Hersfeld with Evita . He was also seen as Kit-Kat-Boy "Victor" at Cabaret in the Capitol Theater (Düsseldorf) . Until August 2003 he was swing , 2nd cast "Alfred" and 2nd cast solo dancer in the Stuttgart musical Tanz der Vampire . Then he was in Hamburg from 2003 to 2006 as swing, 2nd line-up "Sky" and 2nd line-up "Eddie" in the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! on stage. At Dirty Dancing in Hamburg he could be seen from 2006 to 2007 as Swing, Neil, Billy and as a vocal soloist and from 2007 to 2008 he took over the first line-up of Neil Kellermann.

In the summer of 2007 he was seen at the Theater des Westens in Berlin in the first cast of "Alfred" in Dance of the Vampires . In the summer of 2008 he played the lead role of Ren McCormack in the play Footloose at the Freilichtspiele in Tecklenburg . This was followed from 2008 to 2010 by the first cast “Falscher Hase” and cover Winnetouch in the musical Der Schuh des Manitu (world premiere) at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. From 2010, Klotz toured various cities in Germany with the musical Grease in the first line of Roger and as cover Teenangel / Vince Fontaine. Engagements at Theater Bielefeld followed . He was part of the German premiere of the musical Bonnie & Clyde , where he played Ted Hinton. In 2013 he was on tour with the musical Cats in the role of Skimbleshank. In 2015 Thomas Klotz played "Jonathan Harker" in the musical Dracula at the Clingenburg Festival . He played the main role at the world premiere of the musical Burnout at the side of Miriam Pielhau .

In 2016, Klotz was engaged as Joe Gillis at the Ettlingen Castle Festival in the musical Sunset Boulevard . Most recently he played Craig Venter in the world premiere of Molecule - The Musical and Princton and Rod in Avenue Q at the Bielefeld Theater .

Klotz also works as an actor, presenter and speaker. He is the host of the creative program Schätze aus Schrott on RTL .
