Thomas Laszlo Winkler (born November 20, 1985 in Zollikofen ), also Thomas L. Winkler , is a Swiss singer who is currently the front man of the metal band Gloryhammer .

life and career

At the beginning of 2010, the Swiss heavy metal band Emerald announced that Thomas Winkler had signed up as their new singer. After the release of the first joint album "Re-Forged", a single was released in 2011 for the second studio album of the Chinese power metal band Barque of Dante, for which Winkler contributed the vocals. At the same time, he announced the collaboration for their second studio album.

After Emerald's sixth studio album "Unleashed" was released in 2012, the Austrian label Napalm Records announced that Thomas Winkler had signed up as the frontman of the "Heroic Fantasy Power Metal" band Gloryhammer , which was founded by Alestorm singer and keyboarder Christopher Bowes has been.

In the summer of 2013, Emerald announced in a press release that Thomas Winkler is leaving the band to focus on other professional activities. As Winkler added in an interview, he now wants to focus entirely on Gloryhammer and his role there as Crown Prince Angus McFife.
