Thomas Mayer (born August 23, 1995 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Mayer started his career at SC Schwanenstadt . In 2009 he went to AKA Linz. In 2011 he moved to Germany for VfB Stuttgart . In 2012 his contract in Stuttgart expired and in September 2012 he moved to the Austrian third division club SK Rapid Wien II . In 2013 he moved to FC Pasching .

In summer 2014 he switched to FC Red Bull Salzburg , but was awarded directly to LASK , for whose amateurs, SPG FC Pasching / LASK Juniors , he was initially used. In January 2016 he was promoted to the professional squad. He made his debut in the second division in March 2016 .

After LASK's promotion to the Bundesliga, it was awarded to second division club SV Ried for two years in the summer of 2017 . For the 2019/20 season he moved to SC Austria Lustenau , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022. In August 2020 he dissolved his contract, which was actually still two years old, after 29 appearances in the second division in Lustenau.
