biography

Rehak grew up with two siblings. From 1978 to 1983 he attended primary school and then from 1983 to 1987 the high school in Triesen . From 1987 to 1991 he completed an apprenticeship as an electrician in Triesen. He then studied telecommunications at the technical college in Chur from 1992 to 1995 and completed his studies with a degree in engineering. After working as a service engineer at Alcatel-Lucent in Zurich from 1996 to 1999 and as a project manager at Telecom Liechtenstein from 1999 to 2001 , he went freelance as a telecommunications consultant in 2001 and started working in his own company in Zurich and since 2005 in Triesen. In addition, from 2004 to 2017 he was managing director of ICT-Center AG, a data center operator based in Vaduz and Zurich.

Rehak was a founding member of The Independent Party in 2013 . In the state elections in Liechtenstein in 2013 , he was elected deputy member. As such, he was a member of the EEA Commission from 2013 to 2017 and a member of the State Parliament's Audit Commission from 2015 to 2017. In the next state election in 2017 , he was elected as a member of parliament. Rehak was now a member of the judges selection committee from 2017 to 2018 and chairman of the business review commission since 2017.

After Erich Hasler was expelled from The Independent in August 2018 after differences of opinion, Rehak and Herbert Elkuch also left the party as a result. The independents thus shrank to two mandates in the state parliament and thus lost their parliamentary group status. Since the beginning of September 2018, the three MPs Hasler, Rehak and Elkuch have formed their own parliamentary group in the state parliament ( new parliamentary group ). Furthermore, the three founded the Democrats for Liechtenstein Party (DPL) on September 21, 2018 . Rehak was elected party president at the founding meeting.

Rehak is married and has a daughter.
