Thomas Renner (church musician)
Thomas Renner (born June 28, 1962 in Regensburg ) is a German organist , choir director , composer and pianist .
Musical career
Thomas Renner attended the Regensburger Domspatzen music high school from 1973 to 1982 . In 1984 he began studying church music in Munich with Harald Feller ( organ ) and Enjott Schneider ( composition ), which he completed in 1988 with the church music A-exam. This was followed by a two-year course in choral conducting from 1988 to 1990 with Fritz Schieri and Max Frey . At the same time, Renner has been a full-time church musician in the Heilig-Kreuz parish church in Munich-Obergiesing since August 1988 and, since 2006, as choir director in the neighboring parish of St. Helena in Munich-Untergiesing . He wrote numerous musical works, mainly for choir and changing instruments.
