Thomas Rid (born March 1, 1975 in Aach im Hegau ) is a German political scientist and non-fiction author .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1994 at the Nellenburg Gymnasium in Stockach , he studied social and political science with Herfried Münkler at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1997 to 2002 and for a year at the London School of Economics and Political Science . After completing his studies, Thomas Rid worked from 2003 to 2005 as a Fritz Thyssen Fellow at the Science and Politics Foundation (SWP) in Berlin.
