Thomas Vogt (politician)

Thomas Vogt (born February 24, 1976 in Altstätten ) is a Liechtenstein politician . He has been a member of the Liechtenstein Parliament since 2009 .

education and profession

Vogt attended elementary school in Schaan and the Liechtenstein grammar school in Vaduz . He then studied law at the University of Innsbruck . He worked for several years as a legal assistant in a Vaduz financial services company. In 2009 he passed the bar exam and is admitted to the bar in Liechtenstein. Vogt first worked as a lawyer in a renowned Vaduz law firm . In the same year, however, he began to work as an independent lawyer. 2010 passed the legal exam for admission in Austria . Vogt is married and has two sons.

Political career

In February 2009 , Vogt was elected to the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the first time for the Fatherland Union . He was re-elected in February 2013 and February 2017 . From 2009 to 2013 he was one of the two secretaries in the state parliament and from 2009 to 2017 a member of the finance commission, one of the three standing commissions of the state parliament. He has been a member of the judges selection committee since 2013 and of the EEA Commission since 2017 .

Sports

Vogt is an enthusiastic table tennis player and represented Liechtenstein at world championships and European championships as well as at the games of small states . Among other things, he was a member of the Liechtenstein team at the World Cup in Malaysia in 2000 . At the national level, the Vogt, who is active in TTC Triesen, won several national championship titles.
