Thomas Wolfgang Puechenegger

Thomas Wolfgang Puechenegger (* around 1611 in Klosterneuburg ; † May 28, 1674 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer and mayor of Vienna (1654 to 1655).

Live and act

Thomas Wolfgang Puechenegger was born in Klosterneuburg around 1611. He graduated from the University of Vienna and subsequently worked as a lawyer. On November 22, 1639, he married Anna Sophie, who died on May 21, 1655, during his tenure as mayor of Vienna. Puechenegger was mayor from 1654 to 1655 and was replaced in 1656 by Johann Georg Dietmayr . Puechenegger died on May 28, 1674 in Haus at what is now Schulerstraße 24 in what is now Vienna's 1st district, Inner City . His granddaughter was Maria Anna von Puechenegg, daughter of Wolfgang Bernhard von Puechenegg and Maria Magdalena Puechenegg, nee Gerstenbrand, who married Josef Hartmann , also a lawyer and later mayor of Vienna, on December 3, 1712 .
