Thorben Ole Döding (born March 7,  1999 in Cuxhaven ) is a German basketball player .

career

Döding, whose father Thorsten coached the Oldenburger TB as well as the SC Rist Wedel in the 2nd basketball league and Rot-Weiß Cuxhaven as well as the SC Rasta Vechta in the 2nd regional league, began playing basketball in the Rasta youth , then played from 2010 at the junior academy of EWE Baskets Oldenburg and from 2012 in the youth department of Artland Dragons in Quakenbrück . In 2014 he won the German U16 championship title with Quakenbrück.

In the course of the 2015/16 season, Döding was used for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , in 2016/17 he was not only in the youth team for the Quakenbrücker-Vechta syndicate, but thanks to a "double license" also for Rasta Vechta's second men's team Regional league on the field. After he had a permanent place in Quakenbrück's ProB line-up in the 2017/18 season and the team moved up to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in summer 2018 by transferring the participation rights of the Thuringian Bundesliga relegated Rockets , Döding gave on the first matchday of the 2018 season / 19 made his debut in the second highest German league.

National team

Döding played international matches for Germany in the U16 age group. In summer 2015 he won the bronze medal with the German U16 national team at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi . In the same year he took part with the U16 selection at the European Championship in Kaunas .
