Thorsten Koehler

Thorsten Köhler (born October 4, 1978 in Coburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Growing up and going to school in Coburg, Upper Franconia, Köhler gained acting experience during his school days in the youth club of the Landestheater Coburg , where he initially worked as an extra from 1995 to 2000 and later as an apprentice under Oliver Kabus up to his first acting engagement (2000-2004) worked at the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater in Quedlinburg / Halberstadt under head director Malte Kreutzfeldt .

In the following years, Köhler worked at the Middle Saxon Theater Freiberg and Döbeln and was a member of the German-Sorbian People's Theater in Bautzen from 2007 to 2009 . As a member of the ensemble in the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau, he has had a lasting impact on the artistic scene since 2009 , including with his fellow actor Jan Kersjes as fictional characters “Serge Pocken” and “Pit Rutten”.

He is characterized by an unconventional and enthusiastic game. In addition to some stage design work “Mr. Pilks Irrenhaus ”and the participation in radio plays ( Marco Polo and“ Wolfsjagd ”) is the focus of his play on comedy . Köhler was able to prove this in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's comedy Minna von Barnhelm , directed by Manuel Schöbel, or in Andreas Ingenhaag's staging of George Tabori's farce Mein Kampf .
