Thorsten Thaler

Thorsten Thaler (born December 16, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German journalist and former editor ( Arndt-Verlag ) and politician ( REP , DLVH ). He is deputy editor-in-chief of the right-wing conservative weekly newspaper Junge Freiheit .

Life

Thaler completed training as an administrative clerk and studied business administration .

He was initially Weddinger district chairman and deputy state chairman of the Junge Union (JU) in Berlin, then switched to the Republicans. He was press spokesman for the Republicans Berlin and from 1989 to 1990 managing director of the Republican parliamentary group in the Berlin House of Representatives . Then he was a state board member of the right-wing extremist German League for People and Homeland (DLVH). In 1990 he became a member of the far-right Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben Bildungswerk . In 1992 he was among the injured in a politically motivated attack in Berlin, in which Gerhard Kaindl , state secretary of the DLVH, was killed.

Thaler wrote for various new right to right-wing extremist media, including a. for Berliner Nachrichten (REP-Zeitung), Criticón , Nation und Europa , Sleipnir , Gegengift , Deutsche Rundschau and Europa, and in 1992 was editor-in-chief of the Arndt-Verlag of right-wing extremist publisher Dietmar Munier . He has been the author of the right-wing conservative weekly newspaper Junge Freiheit since 1989 . In the meantime he was in charge of the service (CvD) and is now deputy editor-in-chief and head of the newspaper's cultural department.
