Thorunn Egilsdottir ( Icelandic Þórunn Egilsdóttir , born March 3, 1975 in Luxembourg ), usually just called Thorunn , is a Luxembourgish - Icelandic singer , actress , television and radio presenter .

biography

Born in 1975 to Icelandic parents in Luxembourg, Thorunn returned to Iceland with her parents in 1989. In 1996 she began to study literature in Aix-en-Provence in France and then worked in the private banking sector in Luxembourg. After a successful casting, she worked for several years as a presenter for the television station RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg before moving to the publishing house Saint-Paul Luxembourg , where she worked as a presenter for Radio DNR and as a columnist for the magazine Télécran .

In addition to her work in the media industry, Thorunn released three studio albums and several singles, including Complicated , Bandits , The Moment in Between and Gone, Gone, Gone , which received a lot of airplay in Luxembourg. As an actress, she took on several minor roles in feature films. In 2013 she took part in the third season of the German singing casting show The Voice of Germany and was among the best 24 participants.

From 2010 she was married to the Danish cultural journalist Thomas Schoos.

In 2014 Thorunn recorded an EP of the same name with three musicians under the name When 'Airy Met Fairy .
