Thuisko von Stieglitz (born December 17, 1808 in Mannichswalde , † February 21, 1881 in Dresden ) was a Royal Saxon Lieutenant General .

Life

He came from the noble family von Stieglitz .

Stieglitz joined the Saxon Army and was Chief of the General Staff from 1852. On September 17, 1865 he was given command of the 2nd Division, which Stieglitz also commanded in 1866 during the war against Prussia in the Battle of Königgrätz . After the peace treaty he took his leave on December 11, 1866 .

In his first marriage Stieglitz was married to Marie Edle von der Planitz (1816–1862). In his second marriage he married Charlotte Emma from the Winckell (1831-1917). From this marriage the daughter Charlotte (1866-1947) emerged, who married the later Saxon Colonel General Karl Ludwig d'Elsa on June 6, 1891 in Dresden .
