Thuken Hutuktu ( Tibetan ཐུའ ུ་ བཀྭན་; Wylie Thu'u bkvan Hu thog thu ) is the title of the lineage holder of a series of incarnations of the Monguor monastery Gönlung Champa Ling . The usual Chinese name is Youning si 佑宁 寺 / 佑寧 寺 ("Youning monastery"), rarely also Gonglun si 贡伦 寺 (after the Tibetan name). and the Kumbum (sku 'bum) Monastery of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism in northwest China's Qinghai Province . The office holder resided in the capital Beijing during the later Manchu rule of the Qing dynasty . He was one of the seven great Hutuktus of Qinghai during the Qing period in the capital Beijing.
The first representative of this line, Lobsang Rabten ( Blo bzang rab brtan; † 1678), came from the (Chinese) Tuguan village (Chinese) of the municipality (Chinese) Wushi of the district (Chinese) Huzhu (today's Huzhu Autonomous County) the Tu der Tu in Qinghai) in which the monastery Gönlung Champa Ling is located. His monk's name (Chin.) Tuguan comes from his place of origin, he was later changed to (Chin.) Tuguan (another Chinese spelling). He was the seventeenth abbot of the Gönlung monastery.
The third personality of this line, Thuken Lobsang Chökyi Nyima (1737–1802), was famous . There are eighteen in total; the titles were awarded posthumously for the first ten, so today you can count (only) from one to eight.
