Thure von Klinckowström

Ernst Konrad Otto Thure von Klinckowström (born July 3, 1887 in Fürstenwalde / Spree , † January 22, 1973 in Stade ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Thure von Klinckowström was the son of Lieutenant Colonel a. D. Ernst von Klinckowström and Lilly geb. Baroness von Wackerbarth called von Bomsdorff . After attending grammar school in Frankfurt (Oder) and Fürstenwalde / Spree and the Brandenburg Knight Academy , he studied at the University of Lausanne , the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and the Silesian Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Breslau . In 1907 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg , whose cartel corps Borussia Bonn awarded him the Corpsschleife in 1926.

After studying and training, he entered the civil service. In 1928 he was a senior government councilor in Stade. As such, he moved to the High Presidium of the Province of Grenzmark Posen-West Prussia in Schneidemühl . In 1932 he was first acting as a substitute and then appointed Chief President of the Province of Grenzmark Posen-West Prussia and at the same time acting as Police President of Elbing . In 1933 he was given temporary retirement. He later returned to work for the government in Magdeburg . After the Second World War he lived in Stade, where he was again active as police chief and later as a volunteer in the Stade History and Local History Association.

The major general of the Wehrmacht Joachim von Klinckowström (1891–1955) was his younger brother.
