Tiara Air Aruba , or Tiara Air for short , was an airline based in Oranjestad on Aruba and based at Aruba Airport .
history
Tiara Air was founded in 2006 with two Shorts 360s after the founding family Muyale had been running a handling company at Aruba Airport for 30 years. The name Tiara comes from the name of the daughter of the founder and CEO Alejandro Muyale.
In 2011 Tiara Air signed a cooperation agreement with Insel Air . In 2012 the first Boeing 737-300 was put into service. Also in 2012, Tiara Air opened a new hangar at Aruba's airport to be able to service the 737 itself.
Destinations
From the home base in Aruba, various destinations in the Caribbean , northern South America and Fort Lauderdale in the United States were flown to.
In collaboration with the Horacio Oduber Hospitaal on Aruba, Tiara Air Aruba ( Aruban Air Ambulance ) carried out patient transfers to and from Aruba using Learjet 35A machines .
The airline was declared bankrupt on November 28, 2016.
