Tiarn Collins (born November 9, 1999 ) is a New Zealand snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines .

Career

Collins has been participating in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour and FIS competitions since 2015 . He took in July 2015 at the Australia New Zealand in Cardrona in Slopestyle his first victory. At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , he finished fifth in the halfpipe and fourth in slopestyle. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he took second place at the Monster Energy Jossi Wells Invitational Big Air event in Cardrona and third place in slopestyle at the Cardrona Games. In the further course of the season he achieved three top ten placements in the World Cup. He reached sixth place in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he came 24th in Big Air and eighth in Slopestyle. At the end of March 2017 he won the bronze medal in Slopestyle at the 2017 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Špindlerův Mlýn . In the 2017/18 season he achieved second place at the Air & Style and World Cup in Beijing and third place at the World Cup in Snowmass, and 18th place in the Freestyle World Cup. In February 2020 he won his first World Cup victory in the Slopestyle in Calgary and thus achieved second place in the Slopestyle World Cup.
