Til Bettenstaedt (born January 20, 1976 in Marburg ) is a former German soccer player .

career

Bettenstaedt played until 1995 in the youth team of FC Schalke 04 , where he was used on June 17, 1995 for 20 minutes in the first team against SC Freiburg . From 1995 to 1997 he played in the Regionalliga West / Südwest for SpVgg Erkenschwick and between 1997 and 1999 for SC Verl . From the 1999/2000 season until the end of the 2006/07 season, the striker played for the regional division Sportfreunde Siegen . In the promotion season of Sportfreunde Siegen, he was one of the top scorers with a total of 10 goals in 31 missions and made a significant contribution to promotion to the Second Bundesliga . On May 22, 2007, his move to Lower Saxony's upper division club BV Cloppenburg became known. After the season he took over as coach of the second team.

In 1992, as a player for VfB Marburg with the German U-16 team, alongside teammates like Lars Ricken and Kai Michalke , he was U-16 European champion in Cyprus . In 1995 he also took part in the U-20 World Cup in Qatar with the DFB selection .

Bettenstaedt became editor of the " Ostfriesen-Zeitung ".
