Till Requate

Till Requate , actually Tilman Karl Willhelm Requate (born September 19, 1957 in Bielefeld ) is a German mathematician , economist and university professor .

Scientific career

Till Requate studied mathematics , philosophy , physics and sports at Bielefeld University from 1978 to 1985 . He completed his studies in 1985 with the state examination sec I&II in mathematics and philosophy. In 1989 he obtained his doctorate in economics at Bielefeld University, where he also received his habilitation in 1995 . Between 1990 and 1995 Till Requate was an assistant professor at the Institute for Mathematical Economics at Bielefeld University and in 1996 was appointed professor for environmental economics and was appointed director of the Interdisciplinary Institute for environmental economics at Heidelberg University . Since 2002 he has been Professor of Economics at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . Till Requate was visiting professor at the University of California (1989), the California Institute of Technology (1992), University of Colorado Boulder (1993), University of Arizona (2001), University of Florida (2004), California Polytechnic State University (2009 ), North Carolina State University (2012) (USA), and Science University Malaysia (2008, 2009, 2012).

Requate has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management since 2014 .
