Till We Drop was a pop-punk / metalcore band from Budapest, Hungary , that existed from 2009 to 2014 .

history

The band's musicians played in various underground bands even before Till We Drop was founded in 2009. In February 2010 Till We Drop released the single "Twenty Two". The group gave their first concert in March of the same year and has been sponsored by Monster Beverage ever since . A promotional video for "Be Kind, Please Rewind!" Was recorded in July. On December 25, 2010, the group released the first music video.

After the group completed a tour of Hungary with the punk band The Idoru and signed a contract with the German label Let It Burn Records , work began on the debut album, which was released in October 2011. The artwork is by Róbert Borbás from Grinddesign, who has already designed artwork for Suicide Silence , Bring Me the Horizon , Gwar , The Southern Oracle , As I Lay Dying , Suffokate and All Shall Perish . In November Till We Drop toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland together with The Blackout Argument and Social Suicide .

Till We Drop consisted of the singer Peter John Kiss, the guitarists Ferenc Orbán and Endre Újhelyi, the bassist Bálint Molnár, and the drummer Máté Orbán. Singer Peter John Kiss was born in Canada and moved to Hungary with the family.

On February 3, 2014, the band officially announced their breakup.

Music genre

Till We Drop played pop-punk , which the group mixed with elements of metalcore , also called "Easycore". Metalnews compared this style of music to that of bands like A Day to Remember and Four Year Strong , with the band's critic accusing them of lack of imagination. Tobias Eberhardt from "wtu-music" described the style as New Found Glory music with Deathcore borrowings. Tanja Adis from Heartbeat Media describes the group as "the new Close Your Eyes ".
