Tim Anders Junior Erlandsson (born December 25, 1996 ) is a Swedish football player . The goalkeeper , who has been under contract in England and Sweden in his career so far, took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics with the Swedish U-23 national team.

Career

Erlandsson comes from the youth of Halmstadt BK . There he was noticed by the people in charge of Svenska Fotbollförbundet and became a junior national player. He took part with the Swedish U-17 national team in the U-17 World Cup in 2013 , in which the bronze medal was won after a 4-1 win over Argentina in the game for third place. He was left behind as a substitute behind Sixten Mohlin . From the summer of 2014 he played on loan in the youth of the English club Nottingham Forest , which signed him in June 2015 and tied him with a three-year contract. There he only came into play in the reserve team, but meanwhile stayed in the circle of the Swedish junior national teams. Again as a substitute - this time from Andreas Linde - he was called up for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016, but the selection team only took one point in the group stage and was eliminated early.

At the end of November 2016, Nottingham Forest loaned Erlandsson to AFC Barrow in the fifth-class National League , because the goalkeeper there Joel Dixon had seriously injured his knee. Nottingham Forest called him back shortly before the end of the year. A few days later, he received his first appointment to the Swedish national team - up to now without being a professional - when he replaced the departed Patrik Carlgren on the traditional January tour. Ultimately, however, he stayed in the games against Ivory Coast and Slovakia without playing. In mid-January 2017 he was awarded again, this time in his home country to the first division promoted AFC Eskilstuna . At his new club he was a regular player straight away, but was in the relegation battle of the Allsvenskan from the start of the season . Although he had conceded the most goals in the championship, he was part of the defending champion's squad appointed by Håkan Ericson , the selection coach of the Swedish U-21 national team , for the 2017 U-21 European Championship at the end of May . Behind Anton Cajtoft , he was again only the substitute, the selection failed after two draws and one defeat in the group stage.

Shortly after Erlandsson terminated his contract with Nottingham Forest in early January 2019, he signed a six-month contract with Swedish second division club IK Frej .
