Timothy "Tim" Michael Hightower (* 23. May 1986 in Santa Ana , California ) is a former American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He played with the Arizona Cardinals , the Washington Redskins and the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League (NFL).
college
Hightower played for the Spiders, the University of Richmond team, from 2004 to 2007 . In his final season, he set school records with 1,924 yards run and 20 touchdowns.
NFL
Arizona Cardinals
Hightower was selected in the NFL Draft 2008 in the 5th round of the Arizona Cardinals and was able to establish himself in this team immediately. He already scored a touchdown in his first two games and secured the Cardinals their first ever participation in the Super Bowl with the decisive points in the NFC Championship Game . The Super Bowl XLIII itself, however, was lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers . In the two following seasons he also showed solid performances with 598 and 736 run yards and 8 and 5 touchdowns.
Washington Redskins
On July 31, 2011, Bush was handed over to the Washington Redskins for the defensive end Vonnie Holliday and the exchange of draft rights in the 6th round . After 5 games with 321 run yards and a total of 2 touchdowns, the season ended prematurely for him because of a cruciate ligament tear . For the 2012 season he initially received a contract, but was retired in the preseason because his injury proved to be persistent .
New Orleans Saints
On January 4, 2015, Hightower was surprisingly signed by the New Orleans Saints , he initially made it onto the 53-man roster, but was then released just before the start of the season. On October 3, 2015, Hightower was re-signed due to a serious injury to running back Khiry Robinson . He was also used regularly in the 2016 season and was able to achieve a total of 5 touchdowns.
San Francisco 49ers
On April 1, 2017, he signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers . He was released before the regular season began.
