Timm Koch

Timm Koch (born November 30, 1968 in Bonn ) is a German writer, filmmaker and photographer. Koch lives in Rheinbreitbach .

Live and act

In June 1990, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Koch was one of the first West Germans to move to East Berlin , where he experienced the end of the GDR and the years of reunification as a squatter . In the course of his professional activity, he has traveled to large parts of Latin America , Africa , North America , Europe and the Caribbean . Koch is self-sufficient and maintains a subsistence , holistic lifestyle with beekeeping, hunting, fishing and vegetable growing . He is passionate about nature conservation.

Both his experiences during the fall of the Berlin Wall and his contacts to the diverse cultures of the world find their way into his literary work. Cinematically, he accompanied the marathon swimmer Steve Redmond, who was the first person to master the long-distance swimming challenge Ocean's Seven . This was followed by shooting with the downhill skateboarder Sebastian Hertler. Koch has been writing for Westend Verlag since 2017 .
