Timo Becker (born December 29, 1967 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Becker first played for Eintracht Haiger in the third-class amateur Oberliga Hessen , before joining FC Bayern Munich's second team in the 1990/91 season, scoring six goals for them in 31 games in the amateur Oberliga Bayern .

From 1991 to 1993 he was then active for the second division VfL Osnabrück and was used in 13 point games. He made his debut in paid football on July 23, 1991 (1st matchday) in a 2-2 draw in the home game against VfB Oldenburg over 90 minutes. He then played eleven other point games in which he remained goalless. In the following season he was only used on July 19, 1992 (3rd matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the home game against FC Remscheid . He also played two games in the DFB Cup competition. In the first main round on July 28, 1991, he and his team won 2-1 at Preußen Münster . In the second main round on August 17, 1991, he and his team lost 4-5 on penalties at the Saarland league club Rot-Weiß Hasborn-Dautweiler , which had qualified for the club cup by winning the Saarland Cup.
