Tina Geissinger

Tina Geißinger (* 1975 in the Palatinate ) is a German theater director and project artist .

Life

During her studies of comparative literature , art history and English studies in Tübingen , she gained theater experience at the room theater in Tübingen . From 1998 onwards, the first own productions were created there in the independent scene and in the student theater . Further assistance took her to the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich , the Gate Theater in Dublin, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Reichenau Festival .

From 2003 to 2007 she was employed as an assistant director and director at the theater of the Nuremberg State Theater . Tina Geißinger has been working as a freelance director in Nuremberg , Braunschweig , Erlangen and Regensburg since 2007 . Their project “ArbeitsEnd: Gestern” with former employees of AEG Hausgeräte AG was funded by the Heimspiel fund of the Federal Cultural Foundation and premiered in October 2008 at the State Theater in Nuremberg.

In 2009, Geissinger became the artistic director for the maintenance of the Casablanca cinema in Nuremberg, which reopened on September 18, 2009. In the 2010/2011 season, she directed favorite people by Laura de Weck on Gostner Court Theater in Nuremberg and worked with citizens of the city of Erlangen a theater project on civil courage under the title Mutwerk for Theater Erlangen . In 2013 she staged Verrücktes Blut by Nurkan Erpulat and Jens Hillje for Eurostudio Landgraf and went on tour with the production in German-speaking countries for two months. Together with 45 citizens of the city, she developed the theater project 350 Years of Eternal Reichstag for the Regensburg Theater , which premiered in November 2013.
