Titular diocese of Aegae
Aegae ( Italian : Ege ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a submerged bishopric in the ancient city of Aigai in the Aiolis region in Asia Minor, which belonged to the Roman province of Asia (today western Turkey ). The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Ephesus .
