Titular diocese of Assava

Assava is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church and is now a titular bishopric.

It goes back to a bishop's seat in the ancient city of the same name, which was in late antiquity in the Roman province of Mauretania Sitifensis (now northern Algeria ). At the latest in the course of the Islamic expansion , the bishopric went under.
