The Diocese of Texcoco ( lat. : Dioecesis Texcocensis , span. : Diócesis de Texcoco ) is one in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Texcoco . Their area includes the Municipios Atenco , Chiautla , Chicoloapan , Chiconcuac , Chimalhuacán , Papalotla , Tepetlaoxtoc , Texcoco and Tezoyuca .

The Diocese of Texcoco was on April 3, 1960 by Pope John XXIII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Caelestis civitas from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Mexico City . On 13 January 1964, the diocese of Texcoco were parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution aliam ex aliis erected Diocese of Tlalnepantla from. Further annexations took place on February 5, 1979 founding of the Apostolic Constitution Conferentia Episcopalis Mexicana erected Diocese of Cuautitlán and to the establishment of the Apostolic Constitution Plane Nobis erected diocese Nezahualcoyotl . The Diocese of Texcoco was on 28 June 1995 part of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution pastoral Ad curam erected Diocese of Ecatepec from. Another assignment of territory took place on December 3, 2008 to establish the diocese of Teotihuacan .

The Diocese of Texcoco is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Tlalnepantla as a suffragan .
