Titular diocese of Gerasa
The Diocese of Gerasa ( Italian diocesi di Gerasa , Latin Dioecesis Gerasena ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of the same name, Gerasa , which was in the Roman province of Arabia Petraea in northern Jordan . It was part of the so-called Decapolis . The bishopric belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Bostra .
