Titular diocese of Phocaea
The diocese of Phocaea ( Italian diocesi di Focea , Latin Dioecesis Phocaeensis ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of Phokaia (today western Turkey ). The bishopric belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Smyrna .
