Titular diocese of Zama Major
The diocese of Zama Major ( Italian diocesi di Zama Maggiore , Latin Dioecesis Zamensis Maior ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a submerged bishopric in the ancient city of the same name , which was in the Roman province of Africa proconsularis (today northern Tunisia ). The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Carthage .
