Eliseu Maria Coroli

Eliseu Maria Coroli B (born February 9, 1900 in Castelnuovo di Val Tidone (municipality of Borgonovo Val Tidone ), Piacenza Province , Italy ; † July 29, 1982 ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic prelate of Guamá .

Life

Eliseu Maria Coroli joined the Congregation of Barnabites at and received on 15 March 1924, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On August 10, 1940, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular of Zama Major and for the first prelates of Guamá. The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil , Archbishop Benedetto Aloisi Masella , donated him episcopal ordination on October 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Campinas , Joaquim Mamede da Silva Leite , and the bishop emeritus of Botucatu , Carlos Duarte Costa .

On February 5, 1977, Pope Paul VI took the resignation submitted by Eliseu Maria Coroli.

Eliseu Maria Coroli attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .

In 1988, the newly founded city of Dom Eliseu in the state of Pará was named after him.

In 1996 the process of beatification was opened for him .
