Tjautjas , northern Sami Čavččas (jávri) , is a place ( crime scene ) in the northern Swedish province of Norrbotten County and the historical province of Lapland , north of the Arctic Circle .

The place in the municipality of Gällivare is about twenty kilometers northeast of Koskullskulle . It is connected to Gällivare by the secondary Länsväg BD 860 via Koskullskulle. Tjautjas is located on the shore of Lake Tjautjasjaure.

In contrast to many other places in northern Sweden, the population development of Tjautjas is not declining. While the place was previously listed as Småort , it was first added to the list of Tatorte in 2005.
