Tokologo ( English Tokologo Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Lejweleputswa District , Free State Province , South Africa . The administrative headquarters are in Boshof . Kegomoditswe Gladys Mokhobo is the mayor.

The community name is derived from the Setswana word for "freedom" and refers to the transition to a democratic South Africa on April 27, 1994 .

In 2011 the community had 28,986 inhabitants. 84.5% of these were black, 9.9% white and 4.6% colored . The population increased to 29,149 by 2016.

55.3% of the first language was Setswana , 18.1% Afrikaans, 10.5% IsiXhosa , 8.2% Sesotho , 1.6% English, 1% isiNdebele and 0.8% isiZulu .
