Tom Cole (racing driver)
Tomas Lionel Howard "Tom" Cole junior (born June 11, 1922 in Landaff , Grafton County , New Hampshire , † June 14, 1953 in Le Mans ) was an American racing driver .
Career
Tom Cole became famous for his third place in the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1950 with Sydney Allard . In the next few years he drove for Ferrari in the French endurance race. However, he could not achieve another placement in the overall standings.
Tom Cole died on June 14, 1953 in a racing accident at Le Mans.
