Tom Dvorak (born July 15, 1965 in Braunschweig , Lower Saxony ) is a Canadian dressage rider and trainer.

Born and raised in Germany , he moved to Canada with his family in 1982 .

Dvorak is married to Ellen and lives in Hillsburgh , Ontario . His daughter Alexandra is also active in sports.

Career

Tom Dvorak started riding at the age of 12.

After the family moved to Canada in 1982, he became a member of the Canadian Young Rider Team.

In 1990 he represented Canada, in the saddle of the World Cup , at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm .

In 1993 he was a member of the winning team at the North American Championship with Assanti .

In 1996 he started at the World Cup in Los Angeles . In the same year he started the World Cup at the Olympic Games in Atlanta .

In 1998 he started at the World Cup final in Gothenburg .

In 2007 he won team silver in the saddle of Beaumarchais at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro .

In 2011 he will start with Viva's Salieri W at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara (Mexico) .
