Tom Götz (born February 11, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Athletic career

Tom Götz started playing indoor volleyball in 1994. Since 2000 he has been playing beach volleyball nationally and occasionally also internationally with various partners: with René Benthien, with Matthias Pompe , with Hannes Goertz and with Tilo Backhaus . With Markus Böckermann , Tom Götz reached third place at the German championships in 2008 . His other teammates were Florian Karl, Marcus Popp , Dirk Böckermann and Steffen Drößler .

In 2004 he and Stefan Uhmann reached fourth place at the Junior World Championships in Porto Santo .

Tom Götz is also active as an indoor volleyball player and played at VC Olympia Berlin in the second division and most recently at SV Lindow / Gransee in the third division .

Tom Götz's younger sister Nora also plays volleyball.
