Tomasz Wełnicki (born March 18, 1990 in Olsztyn ) is a Polish football player on the position of defender .

Career

youth

Wełnicki began his career in the youth of Warmia Olsztyn, from where he was signed by the German club VfL Bochum . At Bochum , he played in the youth team until 2009, before he was signed by 1. FC Nürnberg .

Club career

At 1. FC Nürnberg Wełnicki was included in the squad of the second team and played his first games in the Regionalliga Süd. In 2010 he still played the autumn season in Nuremberg . In January 2011 he was loaned for a year by the Austrian Bundesliga club Kapfenberger SV . The central defender made his debut in the top Austrian league on February 12, 2011 in the Styrian derby against eventual champions SK Sturm Graz . Wełnicki played for the full season; the game in the UPC Arena was lost with 0: 2. In total, he came to 16 missions in his first year and was yellow carded once . The KSV was eighth in the final table. After he was firmly committed in the summer of 2011, Wełnicki tore a cruciate ligament in the league game against SV Ried at the end of August 2011 and was out until the end of the 2011/12 season. After that, however, he was unable to regain his regular position and so his contract was not extended in the summer of 2013. In July 2013, the Polish first division team Górnik Zabrze announced the commitment of Wełnicki. He signed a one-year contract until the end of June 2014. After the contract expired, he moved to the second division OKS Stomil Olsztyn .

After a year he would go to Zawisza Bydgoszcz and return to OKS Stomil Olsztyn after the season . In 2018 he switched to the 2nd team of Legia Warsaw and then signed a third time with OKS Stomil Olsztyn. Since February 2019 he has been playing for third division Siarka Tarnobrzeg .
