Tomasz Wisio (born January 20, 1982 in Lubin ) is a Polish football player .

Career

Wisios career began with his home club Zagłębie Lubin . He celebrated great success early on, became Vice European Champion with the Polish U-16 national team and took part in the U-17 World Cup. After two professional seasons with Lubin, he moved to Wisła Krakau , where the then Austrian second division club SV Pasching became aware of him in 2001 .

After a promotion and two years with Pasching, Wisio tried his luck in the 1st German Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld in 2004 , where he could not assert himself and returned to Pasching after six months. In May 2007 he moved to LASK Linz after having previously been under contract with Skoda Xanthi for a year . After two years in Linz, Tomasz Wisio moved to Ergotelis in Greece for the 2009/10 season , where he signed a three-year contract.

In the winter of 2011 Wisio had his contract terminated early. According to rumors, the Greek first division team was only able to transfer the contractually regulated salary late on several occasions, which is why Wisio moved to Germany to RB Leipzig . He signed a contract until mid-2013. At the end of the 2011/12 season, Wisio was released from RB Leipzig; since July 2013 he has been playing for SKN St. Pölten . In 2016 he was promoted to the Bundesliga with SKN St. Pölten . After promotion to the Bundesliga, he was deported to the amateur squad.

In January 2017 Wisio returned to Poland, where he joined the second division club GKS Katowice .
