Cultural Trail of the Alps

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The cultural route of the Alps (also: cultural route of the Alps ) begins on Lake Geneva and leads through pre-Alpine and Alpine areas - around 600 kilometers and 15 passes - through the cantons of Valais , Vaud , Friborg , Bern , Lucerne , Obwalden , Nidwalden , Uri , Ticino and Graubünden to Val Müstair in south-east Switzerland .

On the way you often hike on historical sections of the path. The culture trail leads through all four language regions of Switzerland and allows hikers to experience the various cultural peculiarities of the regions up close.

If you want to hike this long-distance hike in one piece, you need a good month. Most of the stages can be reached by public transport - in bad weather the tour can therefore easily be modified or shortened.

The Association of Friends of Nature Switzerland is the publisher of the book Kulturweg Alpen . It was published by Limmat Verlag in 1999 .
