Tommy Anton Christensen (born July 20, 1961 in Hillerød ) is a former Danish football player .

Career

At the age of 17, Christensen made his debut for Aarhus GF in 1978 in Denmark's 1st division . In 1979 he moved to the top Dutch club PSV Eindhoven , but returned to AGF after two years. In 1984 he left Denmark again, followed by short guest appearances at FC Elche in the Spanish Primera División and the English clubs Leicester City and Portsmouth FC . After the other stations Brøndby IF and Vejle BK in Denmark, the striker joined the German second division club Eintracht Braunschweig in 1988 . After the season Christensen, who had repeatedly struggled with injuries in his career, ended his professional career at the age of 27.

Christensen also came to a use for the Danish senior team , on June 22, 1983, he ran in a game against Finland .

After football

Christensen is now sales and marketing manager for a company that sells water coolers and ice machines. He is also active alongside Brian and Michael Laudrup for the Showstars , a Danish all-star team of former professionals who regularly play friendship and benefit matches.
